Halloween is above all my favourite holiday. However, I've never been able to celebrate it because of my family's religious views, because of this I've been celebrating it secretly for many years. This year I'm hosting a Spook Me Contest on dA.



I. You may submit film, photography, photo manipulation, stock image, prose, or poetry... WHATEVER YOU WANT.
II. One submission per deviant.
III. The contest is open until Midnight central time October 31st, 2007.
IV. To submit your deviation send me a note with a thumb or link. The note must be titled "Boo", "Trick or treat", or any other creative reference to Halloween.



The winner will get a one year's subscription from me, there work featured in the news, and their whole gallery featured in my journal. If you would like to donate a prize please note me. All deviants who donate a prize will be featured in my journal.

The second place winner will get his or her choice from a 25$ or less deviantWEAR item.

For participating you may have the option have having a paragraph long critique along with your score (see below) noted or commented to you. If you wish for me to do this just add "black cat feed back" anywhere in your submission's artist's comments.

Note: Anyone who features this contest in their journal will receive detailed critiques on ten of their deviations. I know feedback is important, so I will do my best to give you as much as possible.



Your goal is to spook me. It's not easy, believe me. This is how you will be graded.

40 for originality
50 for implication
30 for completing the goal
20 for concept
10 for aesthetic appeal

Your final "grade" will be posted in my journal if you make the top two contestants.
