*Looks At Nametag* Anyone watch
The Big Bang Theory? Great show. On dA, sometimes I feel a little like
Sheldon at the Computer Store. I guess it's because a lot of my journals include information about FAQs, policy, and pornography, but I seem to always be getting notes from people (usually friends, sometimes not) asking me questions about their work... and OTHER people's work. I also get questions about Journal CSS (I mean, not even about my own journal CSS... other people's.)
Now, I really don't mind answering these questions as a friend (that means, if I KNOW you.) In fact, I really do love you guys and if I can help you I would
love to. I don't mind helping out strangers either, but I just want everyone to know that even though I do try to spread the word about dA activities and policy I'm not omnipotent in that department. My opinion may not be the opinion of dA staff, so please keep that in mind when contacting me.
As for people noting me on whether or not to report
someone elses' deviation OR
noting me that I should take care of a certain miscat or PV. First of all,
I do not have the power to do anything you can't do. If you feel like it should be looked at, either contact Help Desk or Report It.
If you're questioning your own work you can contact me, but I will just give you my opinion and point you into the right direction of who to ask. That direction usually being either the Help Desk or the Gallery Director for the gallery your deviation is submitted under.
If you just want my personal opinion, help, or advice, then please don't hesitate to contact me. Just know that I don't work here and my advice/opinions may differ from staff and I don't have the power to take deviations down. I would definitely be happy to help anyone who need help.

Using Tags on dAdA's own Elizabeth Taylor made a great poll recently,
Nudes can go anywhere in the Photography galleries as long as the mature content tag is on. Are you sure we need more sections? If you've never thought about it, it certainly is interesting. At least in Artistic Nude, there are a variety of photography sub-set that could be used. See, Artistic Nude can technically be put into any gallery (like conceptual), but I think it's hard to search in AN when so many ANs are posted all over the photography section.

Helewidis agrees, and she's making it her mission to educate us deviants about the use of dA's tag (called "keywords") system. I rarely actually use this system, because I didn't realize the importance of them. You can actually use dA's tags system as a subcategory for your photography etc. It's not only much easier for deviants to find your work, it's easier to
classify it.
Me and her also are talking about pitching a new keywords system or addition to, called "auto-keywords". I'd love to get your ideas on it.
1. (Like you said) putting more focus and education in keywords/tags. (Because to tell you the truth, I don't use them at all.)
2. dA redesigning the use of tags/keywords. I think it would be really cool if there were auto-keywords that you could click on above the text box. Auto-keywords could be things such as "Portrait" "Classical" "Artistic Nude" "Conceptual".
Suggested Use: Conceptual, Portrait, Macro, [etc]
Frequently Used: Bewarecalamity, Linda, photography, photomanipulation
Others In This Category Have Used: Artistic, Nude, Black, White, Darkroom

About DA tags... currently I'm in love with this search concept: [link] Just look how wonderfully would the tag system apply here...
It is my opinion that there should be less categories in DA. The essential ones, perhaps, but less, because sometimes things are so compartmentalized I'm not even sure of where to submit. And let's not forget some things can belong to more than one category. This would all be fixed with tags in my opinion
I wonder if V6 tries to improve on this feature...
Oh, and auto-keywords = pure genius. I think you should present this in the Suggestion forum and I'd definitely back you up
